Skirt Over Pants - Work Flow

Hi readers, how was your week? Mine totally put the 'b' in busy. It was the 100th day of school on Tuesday. Groundhog day too. So it was unending activities and boy do I feel like I was run over by a truck. And then there's Valentine's day and Presidents day coming up next week. Life of a teacher.

But I'm glad you are here, welcome back!

I did mention here that I'd start 'Work Flow' a new series that'd show my work looks in response to messages I receive on my Facebook page. I thought I'd share the first work look in a few weeks but following a few compliments on this look on Wednesday, I thought, 'why not now'. I got home from work, touched up my face, popped the lashes on and clicked away.

It’s still all about layering at this time of year. How about a skirt over look? To work on Wednesday I wore a layered poncho, waist pants and a skirt over. Ponchos are hugely popular at this time of the year and this one gets bonus points for being layered and super cute.

I personally love skirts over dresses but today I’m showing how I styled it over pants. This trend is far from new but influencers all over are taking it from runway to street. If you’re just getting your feet wet with this trend, then skinny pants are the safe way to go since you get the leggings vibe with it.

I love love waist pants for their ability to hide love handles and any bulges at all. Another very valid reason I love them is the lengthening factor. So if legs for miles is your thing, you must be loving up on them too. Ugh, how could I forget the flat abs without going under the knife?

There are a plethora of ways to style these pants but I chose to do it with a ribbed turtleneck tucked in so the zipper detail on pants was in view. Gotta show off that cinched waist right? How do you style yours?
