The reality that One Direction: This Is Us is hitting theaters very soon is sinking in--even more now that the 1D guys have kicked things off today with a press conference to talk about the movie.
But first, a red carpet popcorn fight...because, why not?
The guys graced the red carpet wearing black or black and white, along with director Morgan Spurlock.
Of course, the band owes everything to the fans, as Zayn Malik said during the press conference, "We're so lucky because our fans are universal, they're similar even though they're from all parts of the world."
Liam Payne echoed the sentiment, saying, "We all think the fans are amazing. They're the best fans in the world."
Why did One Direction make a big, giant 3D movie? Well, because fans are going to love it, of course!
Harry Styles said, "There's only so much you can get across on social media, so this is a way to show how we are for our fans to see."
Other This Is Us press conference highights include:
It's hard to get Zayn out of bed, according to Liam.
Harry made the sign of the cross when asked about drugs and groupies. LOL.
Louis noted: "We like to think we're rock'n'roll but we're not really."
Niall said he and Simon Cowell are homies who "roll together."
Liam said the guys spend time together even when they have time off. Aw.
Morgan summed up what fans can see in This Is Us, saying, ""You see five guys who are the same five guys they were three years ago."
One Direction: This Is Us opens in theaters on August 30.
