I hope you're winding down from Christmas. I went to Lush and Bath and Body Works today and hit up some sales. I also grabbed lunch with a friend. Now I'm home because Christmas may be over but now we need to confront New Year's Eve that's just a few days away! I have this quick stamping look with another plate from Beauty Big Bang. Isn't it cute?!

This plate is Beauty Big Bang XL-032. There are great Christmas images but there's also winter and New Year's looks! There's a certain bear who will be gracing my nails soon! But for now, I wanted to share the fireworks image.

I began with KBShimmer Gaia, which is actually her contribution to January's Polish Pickup and I'll have full swatches up next week!

Then I used a white stamping polish and I stamped on the fireworks with the crowd image. As you can see the image is etched well. I was going to do a layer of black stamping over this, but I loved the crisp look of the white against the blue! Then I matte the whole look.

Because Gaia is sparkly with flakes, it reminded me of a sky lit up by fireworks! Do you know what I mean by that? Even if it's super dark out, after fireworks, there's a sort of brightness to the sky from all the smoke! Do you see fireworks on New Year's Eve? We usually catch the Central Park ones from our apartment (you can see it from many many blocks away!)
