Cher Rocks Many Wigs in "Woman's World" Music Video

While I wait on extremely sharp pins and needles for the legend that is Cher to drop her upcoming album, Closer To The Truth, featuring collaborations with P!nk and Jake Shears, the artist continues to tease the new era of iconic music with the release of the official video for the effort's lead single, "Woman's World". The single, which experience a limited release back in June, is ready to take over the charts with full promotion and a sassy, carefree music video to go along.

"Woman's World" is a fun, upbeat, dance track that is still able to carry an important message of female empowerment. When the song first premiered way back in Nov. 2012, it seemed to be Cher standing up for all women after a few good-for-nothing politicians tried to claim rights they had no business claiming. With her one-of-a-kind, show-stopping vocals, the artist is making sure men and women get pumped up and energized every time her new single plays on the radio or in the closest club. It is her first lead single from an album in 12 years. Thankfully, nothing has changed!

The music video, which had its world premiere on Daily Mail, is not everything I expected it to be, but it's Cher so she can't really do anything wrong. In front of a blank screen, the artist wears many different wings, including one made completely of newspaper clippings, while women of all ages and races dance around to the beat of the new single. Cher has always been a wild, campy individual who has inspired countless drag queen with her iconic outfits, so seeing her have a blast is what I like to witness. Cher is the center piece of the new visual, as she should be, and even though it was a bit below my expectations, the music video made me happy enough.

As a lead single to Closer to the Truth, "Woman's World" does a great job at showing that Cher has no plans at slowing down when it comes to her music career. She is only 67 after all. The energetic pop song paired with a not-so-serious music video is the right way to kick off a new album of material that will surely satisfy more than it will disappoint! Tell the truth!
